Institution: The Petroleum Institute (PI) was created in 2001 with the goal of establishing itself as a world-class institution in engineering education and research in areas of significance to the oil and gas and the broader energy industries. The PI’s sponsors and affiliates include Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and several major international oil companies, namely Shell, BP, Jodco and Total. The campus has modern instructional laboratories and classroom facilities and is now in the planning phase of three major research centers on its campus. GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM – Petroleum Geosciences
GRADUATE FELLOWSHIPSMASTER OF SCIENCE (FULL TIME) PROGRAM


The Petroleum Institute (PI) is seeking Graduate Fellowships applications for a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Petroleum Geosciences.
Master students are expected to work in research projects that involve collaboration with industrial and international academic partners.

Outstanding graduates with excellent academic credentials, who are highly motivated to undertake a challenging and rigorous graduate program of study and research, are invited to apply. They will be expected to have at least a B.Sc degree from a well recognized university.

Stipend/Benefits:
Stipend will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, with an excellent benefits package, including a twelve-month base stipend, on-campus room and board, medical insurance, and travel funds to attend conferences and stays at the PI’s partner institutions. Applicants must be in excellent health and will be required to pass a pre-award physical examination.

Who can apply?
The admission to the PI Graduate Fellowships is open to all qualified UAE nationals, and selected non-nationals. Some of the general criteria to be met by the applicants are:
Outstanding academic record from a regionally recognized university;• Applicants must submit an official academic transcript in English from their baccalaureate institution
Certified TOEFL score of 550 or above on the paper-based test (PBT);• 213 on the computer-based test (CBT); 79 on the internet-based test (IBT); or 6.0 on IELTS

When to apply?
Candidates wishing to apply for Graduate Studies should submit completed applications by the following dates:
Fall Admission: 01 April
Spring Admission: 01 October

- original documents attested by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) should be submitted upon admission to the Masters Program
3. Scanned passport-sized photograph
4. Valid passport copy
5. TOEFL or IELTS score certificate
- minimum scores required: 550 for TOEFL PBT; 213 for CBT; 79 for IBT; or 6.0 for IELTS
6. At least 3 reference letters

MASTER OF SCIENCE (PART TIME) PROGRAM
The Petroleum Institute offers a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Petroleum Geosciences. The Master of Science (Part time) Program is tailored for those working in the industry wishing to improve their skills and for geosciences graduates interested in careers in the petroleum industry. The program is designed to give students a rigorous education and specific training in geosciences applications in the oil and gas industries.
The program will offer late afternoon and evening classes as well as a web-based e-learning system to meet the working schedule of the applicants.

Who can apply?
The admission to the M.Sc. Program is open to all qualified UAE nationals and selected non-nationals. However, employees of ADNOC and its group of companies will receive preference for admission. Some of the general criteria to be met by the applicants are:
Minimum GPA of 3.00 from a reputable B.Sc. Program•
Certified TOEFL score of 550 or above on the paper-based test (PBT);• 213 on the computer-based test (CBT); 79 on the internet-based test (IBT); or 6.0 on IELTS

Students wishing to apply for Graduate Studies should submit completed applications by the following dates:

Spring Admission: 01 October
