Scholarships 2011 Description: Applications are invited for an EPSRC-funded PhD studentship to work within the groups of Professor Daan Frenkel, Professor David Wales and Dr Mark Miller in the Chemistry Department in Cambridge. The project is a multi-centre collaboration with the Universities of Oxford and Birmingham, and involves theory and simulation of self-assembly ranging from coarse-grained to atomistic descriptions.


Scholarships Applicants should have (or be about to receive) at least the equivalent of a UK II.1 honours degree in chemistry, physics or other relevant discipline. Familiarity with statistical mechanics is desirable. The studentship covers tuition fees and a maintenance grant for EU nationals who satisfy the UK Research Councils’ eligibility criteria. The studentship is not available to non-EU nationals.
